Steve Cooper

I couldn’t believe VAR didn’t ask the ref to review the penalties on screen.

The fact that one of the penalties wasn’t given AND he booked the lad for diving suggests a clear and obvious error, as it was a stone wall penalty.

What if that lad had got a second booking later?!

The second was a clear penalty too.

Huddersfield fans must have been left with a very bitter taste.

Time to remove VAR if decisions like that are not overturned.

He's obviously done well and they are a decent side. They definitely nailed the loan market (unlike some😂).

Yet I keep reading they were bottom when he came in. It's a bit misleading. They were but also 9 points off the playoffs with 39 games to play. I think you'd take that. I mean clubs thought they were in with a chance when 9 points off with 10 to play.

I read somewhere that Moss had been advised to review the first one on screen but refused. Don’t know if it’s true but that’s what I read.

Whilst I'm not a fan of his personally, there's no doubting he's done a fantastic job. Overachieved in every job he's had so far. Future England manager for me.

That said, you will not see a clearer pen than the one on Sunday, no idea how that wasn't given.

Must say that penna shout/s for Huddersfield yesterday left me convinced Cooper has some sort of influence/favouritism going on when it comes to pressure on referees to make big calls in games

When he was up against us previously in recent times, I hadn't known much about the guy beforehand, but I put it down to fans' bitterness/nonsense that he had a hold on refs in games :ROFLMAO: ... all that aside, the guy is clearly top-class

The job he has done at Forest is nowt short of brilliant, the fact we lost Spence to them and they were clearly superior hence their promotion does leave one feeling irked, but what can yer say .. I am sure no one would complain had he been in charge of us :ROFLMAO:

... ever since the Wilder/Burnley chew on, things just seemed to go downhill fast for us, before that we were in the mix .. the signs were already there that we were sliding out of form and all that sh1te, it was an unfortunate coincidence. All of a sudden, it seemed Cooper's Forest side we a million miles from us.

Ever since I just don't feel convinced CW heart is in it enough to do the job required or what Boro fans are expecting of us next season but dearly hope I am wrong. I was buzzing we'd appointed him and thought the likes of him were out of our reach, progress finally being made behind the scenes, the lot ... now I just get this bad feeling.

The lines CW has come out with since about being committed to the challenge and finishing the job he was brought here for, obviously anyone would eventually have to come out and say so after such a situation ..

Sadly, I still sense a lack of sincerity, I am not sure what I would want him to say or what he's supposed to do. It's just I don't feel his heart is in it, though he makes out it is obviously. Things could go South very fast if we start next season badly as a result.

Should that happen and Forest are rock-bottom in the PL at the same time, I'd be more than happy to welcome Steve Cooper here. :ROFLMAO:
🤣🤣🤣???

If Moss reviews and overturns the first one it makes him look a bit of a tool for booking the lad, wonder if that went through his mind. There was a lot of disquiet from both sets of fans pre match about Moss being given one last hurrah. Don't really get involved with following refs these days, but seems he's a bit of a Clive Thomas type?

He looked more like a Les Dawson / Bernard Manning type to be honest.

Makes you wonder how Forest ever lost a game if referees are giving them penalties every game. Presumably this conspiracy theory doesn't just involve us?

Some people need to take their tin hats and tinfoil suits off and just accept that Cooper is a good manager - play offs 3 times in a row and winning at the 3rd attempt. He might not be a very personable character but there's no doubting he's a top manager.

Both stonewall, corruption reigns supreme.
I thought he got the first one right…it looked like a dive and there was no contact from the defender. It was looked at many times and VAR wasn’t able to see anything wrong with that decision.

I’m not so sure about the second one though did it even get checked?

I agree Cooper is clearly a very good manager but that doesn’t mean he didn’t benefit from not one, but two, stonewall penalties being turned down.

Something was not right with the referee.

Never saw the penna appeals in real time as I was making way to Airport in Cyprus. Seeing them yesterday I think both were penalties. First one was really poor by ref and Var if they looked at it.

There was clear contact from the defender, his foot is booted mid air.

VAR wasn't able to see anything wrong because of incompetence.

He had no motivation to go down either, he had wrong footed the defender and was in a good position to score. The defender put his leg across in desperation and made contact with his foot which then bounced into his other leg which is why he went down.

As clear a trip as you will see.

Even if he didn't touch him I seem to recall Schwarzer having a penna given against him for Ronaldo jumping/diving over his leg and SAF and the commentators all ensuring us it was right to award without any contact as he 'intended' to foul him.

If Colback hadn't dangled that leg in front of Toffolo his natural gait would have seen him run through that space and get a shot away. Because Colback dangled the leg, had a tiny contact and whipped it away doesn't mean it wasn't a foul for me, he impeded a free run into the box by sweeping his leg infront of someone running at speed.
