Steel and Iron at the Riverside

Actually when I booked my tickets a couple of weeks ago there weren't too many tickets left for tonight.

Not sure how many the ‘venue’ holds but after looking at the seating plan and purchasing tickets for Saturday night, I’m guessing about 250 of which only 12 left.

Really impressive. I would definitely recommend it.
Script was funny and moving and story was pretty stirring thought provoking and inspiring with some great songs. Most entertaining. And the young cast were really very good indeed and top marks to Bernie Slaven, I was not expecting him to have an integral role that ran right the way through the two acts. But he firing off lines aplenty throughout.
There are some really interesting as well as moving stories from our Middlesbrough history that are not shared too often. There were a few waterworks flowing at times. But everyone was off their seats singing and clapping along as well.
Really enjoyable. If there are tickets left then snap them up.

Pushing this up topside again because I think this is a Boro musical drama that you will all love.
Some great young talent performing and singing a really striking soundtrack, penned by Cattle and Cane and Alastair Griffin. Bernie Slaven revelling in his first ever acting role. A lovely story of an anxious controlled young woman returning to Teesside after the death of her gran and discovering a hidden family history as well as gradually discovering herself and her community and her town. And this all takes place in a big tent behind the North Stand and so it as Teesside as it possibly can be.

Just back from tonight's show, thoroughly enjoyed it, always proud to be from the boro and the song at the end really brings a lump to your throat. If you're thinking of going you won't regret it.
