Ste Walker loan at MK Dons cut short

The MFC announcement suggests he could be going to another club. Or are we going to keep him here and use him?

Sounds like they want him to get more starts, no point sitting on MK Dons bench when half the time we’re struggling to fill our own.

Mk Dons have also just signed a striker (Charlie Brown from Chelsea) so likely that Walker will be further down the pecking order.

Gazette claiming he will be going back out on loan somewhere else.

Uncle - the way it is phrased he is going out on loan again.

I suspect MFC have brought him back, because MK Dons have not been playing him enough. 5 starts is low. He needs to be starting a game a week now he is 20.

I woud expect a Division 1 team or Scottish Premier team would take him.

I was going to put the same thing - he needs game time.

It was MK Dons who cut short the loan, not us.

EDIT On the same page I see the Rotherham game is now on wed 27th jan.
Had we played and beaten Rotherham at Home on Boxing Day we would have the best home record in the Championship.
13 home matches left, only 11 away. I know without crowds it should be less important, but nobody has as many home matches left as we have other than Rotherham and we have the best point per home match in the league already.

what their fans think of Ste Walker.
Not the most complimentary but then he did seem to play a ‘bit part’ with them.

noticed he did a nice cross in the FA cup at the weekend which led to a goal. And scored two last night for them. Maybe he’s hitting some form????

Interesting that they are sending back someone who has scored 5 goals in 5 starts. On the face of it that does not make sense

2 goals in 12 league appearances, 5 of those being starts.
He'd not started a game or scored since November.
No assists either.

I doubt they're that fussed about the 3 goals in the EFL Trophy.

If they've brought in a permanent striker for the bench, there's no point having a loan striker taking up a space too.
It's no good for Walker or MK Dons, more importantly it's no good for Middlesbrough.

It may be that Dons wanted a beefy striker and now he looks like a winger who can score a few . They are not going to re-model a team around a short-term loan.

Looks like MK Dons got rid of him to make space for Charlie Brown from Chelsea. Very good young forward, 20 and they signed him for peanuts.

The kind of player we should be looking at, I saw him play for Chelsea U23s vs Swindon first team a couple of years ago, him and Lamptey absolutely terrorised Swindon and they were only 18 at the time playing against big experienced League One defenders.
