Starmer should tell the teachers to strike

But the driving point is that it is the mental and physical health and well being of the children is the motivator
Is it looking after your kids' well being to have them sat in a facemask all day and having a swab stuck down their throats/up their nose three times a week?

I am surprised they didn't just temprature check and request that pupils wear face masks in class as they have already identified that children have a very low risk. Clearly the swab test is for picking up the asymptomatic cases.
What would you do?

No not at all, I haven’t followed this story - I don’t understand what is the rational for not vaccinating teachers - if you want schools to go back surely it’s a must that teachers are vaccinated first or am I missing something?
Teachers should of been done with care home staff

3 out of the 4 tests are done at home. Also before anybody gets in a panic although it's advised strongly that secondary school age pupils take the tests and wear the masks, schools cannot legally prevent your child from attending school because of those reasons.

I would vaccinate all teachers and support staff as a priority, problem solved without dumping on children, again.

It's 3 tests on site then future tests would be done at home.

There are approx. 450,000 teachers in England. Of course they should be offered the vaccine it makes no sense at all to prioritise getting the kids back in education but not vaccinate those that will be spending 8 hours a day seeing hundreds of kids in close confines.

It will happen, teachers will get prioritised in a few weeks. But like anything this Government does, they have to find out the hard way first.

Has the Government even given a reason why they don’t consider it a good idea? I’ve not heard them say.
