Stadium announcer

John is a great lad and a genuine Boro fan. Brought up in Linthorpe and went to Boynton school.

If, as I do, you wander the stadium sitting in different spots the difference in sound volume and quality from place to place is striking, in some places in the same stand it is almost inaudible in others deafening. Not really the fault of the announcer but the inadequate system. As Rob says not exactly high on the list of "Things That Are Wrong At Our Football Club".

It's been the same as it is now for 26 years. As loud and conversation-infringing as ever. It's all very part of the match day. I'm only surprised that we've started a discussion when we're on a bad run. We usually save such threads for when we are doing well :-D

I'll also add my support for the announcer. He's the best we've had, and he does listen to what fans are saying. It's not an ego trip for him; his motivation is purely to do the best job for the Boro.
