I thought it was out of order the way he said to the young lad hurry up hurry up! As he was stepping forward to take the penalty. They were under 8s ffs!!! If I had been the lads dad I wouldn’t have been happy at all. I know it’s a tight schedule at half time but he likes the sound of his own voice so maybe less of the b….cks he usually spouts would give him more time to not abuse the kids.

The announcer comes across as a little stout man who is devoid of humour or charisma, loves the sound of his own voice, and has an inflated sense of his own importance. The way he spoke to that young lad annoyed me as I said. It’s not necessary. The penalty shoot out is the big stage for a child’s dream. Young children have fragile emotions. Their day should not be ruined by a bad tempered man holding a microphone feeling important.
