ST Sales Re-Open to Gold Card Holders

Im sure if i ring up it can be sorted but just assumed it could be sorted with a couple of clicks. Obviously MFC would rather have another £420-500 in the bank than give my nephew a free ticket which he would have still had if id renewed before sales were suspended so its partly my fault he wont be able to attend games next season. Hopefully once stadiums are allowed to operate as normal his ticket will be reinstated

I was in the same situation, if you ring them up then they will sort it for you, they did it for me but couldn’t do it online.

They've told one of our group who is shielding for health reasons if he doesn't renew by Saturday he loses his gold card status, at the same time as they're not able to provide any info on what precautions they will have in place. Tell you what they can ram it, disgusting way to treat loyal supporters in a global pandemic.
If this is true it is an absolute disgrace

I’d say surely that can’t be right, but I can’t argue with you because the club have put out zero information on this (unlike Derby for example).

I find it infuriating just how ingrained incompetence is at Middlesbrough Football Club, it’s at every single level.

This whole season card debacle has been a total communication failure, where fans have needed reassurance from the club they’ve had nothing which has led to anxiety and uncertainty for many with plenty of resentment amongst our own fans.

It didn’t need to be this way, but sadly they just never learn.

Speaking to one of my colleagues this morning, he has been told the same.

He’s understandably furious.

This club holds their fanbase in utter contempt.

I just don’t understand their stance either, they will easily get the 9k , so no skin off their nose, to retain the Gold Card status of people who are either feeling unsafe or like some fans who have children they attend with who aren’t gold cards so can’t currently renew.

That Derby press release while not saying anything specific and with no detail provides reassurance for long term fans and diffuses a lot of the anger/ resentment that is now coming through and will likely continue to do so in a large majority of longer term season ticket holders.

Where has 9000 comd from? Have I missed something? Am away on the moors at present but i thought the capacity was going to be higher than that.

Figure that the Gazette stated they expected the capacity to be around.

Renewed was only on hold 5 mins. didnt really want to until i knew what was what with regards to when spectators will be allowed back in stadiums, but if the club sets a deadline and youre fortunate enough to qualify, i guess theyve got you by the short and curlys
 
Gold Cards - no one will lose any gold card privileges if they do not feel safe and secure renewing this season. The same applies to loyalty points etc. So, at the end of next season - it will be re-set time and everyone that was a Gold Card holder last season will have the opportunity to renew again without any loss of privilege etc.
I have just been in phone conversation with MFC Supporters Services officer to find out the official line.

5 minutes. It took me 1hour 20 and I was number one in the queue for all that period. Sorted now though. Maybe I caught them at lunch time.
