Everytime he has played he’s been woeful and looks disinterested. Will be interesting to see if a new manager comes in and plays Bale mind but Bale has done himself no favours in the game time he has had. Was abysmal against Brighton

Tottenham are in their worst run of league form since 2012; Jose Mourinho in his worst run at home, ever. Suddenly, Chelsea are no longer the capital's crisis club. This was a second win for Thomas Tuchel, but the biggest so far, coming away from home against a fellow member of the elite. Not that such a word could currently be applied to Tottenham. A third straight league defeat is their poorest run since a similar stretch under Andre Villas-Boas between November 3 and 17, 2012. As for Mourinho, incredibly, this is the first time he has lost back to back home league games in his career.

Shows how good / important Harry Kane is for Spurs and sort of agree with Mourinho when he says it looks like the players don't feel they have a chance without Kane.
Bale looks less than a shadow of himself. Haven't seen every minute he's played for Spurs but have seen quite a lot, and it's quite amazing how anonymous he's been. Not even a spark of the old dynamism or quality. Very strange, to see a player lose it as much as that and it's not even like he's had major injuries.
I wonder if he's just way off match fitness having barely played for so long, or if his head's not in the game anymore or what.
I thought he would be desperate to play and would turn out to be a great signing, at his old club where he's loved, playing with loads of gifted attacking players in a counter-attacking team, but if his name wasn't on the back of his shirt I wouldn't even recognise him. Has changed my perception of what happened to him at Madrid - assumed he was bombed out just because him and Zidane went to war; but maybe he's just gone off a cliff as a player.
