A role that’s been needed for the last few years, recruitment has been a massive issue with no long term thinking. Hopefully this is the start of a much improved recruitment strategy, and a plan looking forward further than the next season.

Warnock joked that it means our next manager will be German.

It did sound like it was something he didn't have much input with on Talksport. Just said it's planning for the future and it's 'the way the club wanted to go'.

Even Alan Brazil said he couldn't see Warnock working with director of football. I guess he wouldn't be in charge of targets. Then again probably only got another year.

Norwich have been run well and decent transfer activity. So it's a yes from me
