Daft question - do you still live in Norfolk?
Currently on hol at the moment til end of week - first time (Brancaster area), pretty gorgeous round here

Left 3 years ago after 17 years. It's a lovely County but we found it boring after a while. Plenty more to see around the Teesside area than Norfolk.

If I was off work I would have gone to the Airport for the take off.

Went to Teesside Airport with a few other lads on our scooters - managed to see it fly in, circle, then land.
All over in a couple of minutes but felt very privileged to have seen it happen

Out of interest, did the Griffon engine sound similar? It's just occurred to me I've never considered this.

Apart from the Spitfire, Hurricane, Lancaster, Mosquito, Mustang and 30+ other aircraft, apart from being versatile to be tweaked to outperform it's opponents at low level and at the highest altitudes and to continually regain the advantage over German fighters, it was also used in tanks!

Went out on my bike today, early morning we cycled to Teesside airport then on to other areas, once home I worked in the garden, gutted I missed the plane
