Spence

He hasn't been great tonight. Some will say he's had the shackles put on but even when he's tried to beat his man he hasn't been able to.
 
Maybe Saville will become that 10 goal midfielder he was for Millwall , now he has Morsy and Howson doing the dirty work .
No one will like playing against them 3 , a great mix .
3 centre halves very good , Fry , McNair and Djiksteel
Wing backs need to improve , Spence has so much ability , he needs to believe and take a man on . Johnson needs to improve his final ball and he will be decent .
Roberts , good signs , Browne and Tav have something to go on .
Chuba tried hard , it will be easier against lesser teams .
Britt , I hope he can come back fit and firing , as we know he can .
All in all , a great result . Well done the squad , and the back room team .

The Bristol commentators said spence was a danger a couple of times in that game its just perspective. Personally I thought he struggled tonight a bit with the ball but he never had a shocker. I'm a fan of Spence and I think he will regain his form of last season although it seems some on here have it in for him and alot of the young players who come through and need time.

I agree. I've never seen anyone as poor at crossing and shooting than Johnson. Surely he should be getting hammered with it at training make him stay back if need be cos you can improve those technical aspects of the game if you work hard enough.

His crossing was poor tonight but its been okay in other games he has played this season.
 
I'm still hoping Spence can turn it around. I think under Woodgate he was probably just told to go out and express himself without worrying too much about his defensive responsibilities, whereas Warnock is clearly working towards him becoming a more disciplined player and a team player. It's just about trying to get the balance right so that he's disciplined but also can produce that moment of magic every now and then. I'm confident under Warnock's guidance he will get there, he's still only 20 years old.

I'm also hoping Coulson can get back in the team to be honest cos I'm still not massively struck on Johnson, but Warnock just doesn't seem to fancy him. It's ironic really to think we initially switched to wing-backs to accommodate Spence and Coulson, as we felt they were our biggest assets yet suddenly it's become a problem area.
 
Spence is usesless and proved it yet again last night.

Hype job based on a handful of promising games under Woody. I think people need to open their eyes to him personally, has nothing going for him but a bit of pace, the rest of his game his truly awful.

Shouldn't be anywhere near the first 11 for me and I don't think he would be if we had even a half decent right back/wing back.
