A few of us diverted around harrogate to York and have just got back. I’ve heard that those who waited at Leeds are now as far as York and waiting for busses. Hundreds of them.

Took my son about 6 hours to get back to Newcastle by train.
Had taken 4.5 hours to get there (via Carlisle).
Brutal.
Hoping the Norwich trains are on time (already a long slog).

Hats off to those travelling supporters. If you’d ran out of tinnys on the way home that’s a brutal journey back. Sunderland will be as far as I venture this season.

It was a single person who fooked it up for everybody just outside Leeds. Hopefully Norwich trains run more smoothly. 2 years ago there was trains cancelled from norwich to Peterborough and we only just got home.

I picked my son up from Darlo station at midnight luckily he was with my nephew and his mate as he's only 15 , lets just say it wasn't the best of days!!

Spare a thought for the person who was so ill - they believed taking their own life was the answer.
Spare a thought for the driver also.
Sooner be home late in this world than early in the next.
Condolences to any family or friends that person may have had.

Sad times for those involved.
Didn’t intend to be disrespectful. Frustrating that one persons actions cause so much chaos for so many. Young, old and vulnerable people left miles from home in cold temperatures at midnight, costs 1000’s for individuals and the industry.
