South Stand drama

Should have taken the kid away to a holding room and waited for the parent to claim him, then ban the parent. The Club gets fined for not controlling players so why not parents for not controlling their kids.

Did anyone get a good view of what happened? Looked like Red Faction fighting among themselves
Could do with some proactive stewarding at the front of the south stand .
We sit/stand at the front row and pre match and half time , there are people , mostly youths standing in the walkway in front blocking any view of the pitch and impeding the passage of wheelchairs .
Steward standing immobile and in a trance .

If I recall correctly one young lad ran onto the pitch wearing a Man Utd top. I think I was as insulted by that as I was his behaviour. This has to stop before someone gets seriously hurt and/or games are played behind closed doors and the vast majority of well behaved fans have to suffer.

He got a selfie with Rooney

Of course the parents have to have some responsibility. I've hammered home to my children that they do not go near or onto the pitch at games.

Will the parent will get a stadium ban too for not keeping control of his child and allowing him to do what he did? (Before we consider the aftermath)

They have to go down the zero tollerence road after the statement they put out at the start of the season and start making examples of people.

Did this happen at full time? Why anyone would want to enter the field of play after watching that shower of .... i dont know

There was a rash of pitch invasions across the country at the end of last season, some with predictable consequences.

Everyone seemed to agree that a stronger deterrent was necessary.
It’s good to see that the team have taken the necessary steps to quell enjoyment/excitement and to remove any reason why fans would want to congratulate players, be associated with them and take selfies. Got that whole shirt ordering issue sorted at the same time!!
