IIRC Charlton used to praise David Armstrong (his 'little gem'), but never a word about Souness, even after games where he stood out. To Souness' credit, he got the message, didn't sulk and all turned out well.

I really enjoyed that interview - I was impressed with Souness memory - who his first game was against in 1973, who kept him out of the Boro team in 1973 - this was 47 years ago. Also how good at describing Jack's style of management and even how Jack walked.

A question I would have asked is how did Jack influence your own style of management?
