I'd just like to confess that many years ago (when I was still relatively young and stupid), I said some horrendous things to certain posters on here while I was going through a bad time. I saw the red mist. I thought it was clever to try and say the most shocking and 'Frankie Boyle' things possible back then and I still feel deeply ashamed, guilty and apologetic over the comments now.

I'd like to think (and for those who were around at the time to think) that I've matured as a person and am at heart a good, kind, empathetic person who would never genuinely have conviction in such comments. I do hope so anyway.

PS - WeeGord is an amazing person who I'd love to have a beer with.

Forget it Scubes.
Over the years we all mature and change our attitudes and responses.

Look ahead to your new job and have a good life.
Remember the good times and Captain Tom's words @Tomorrow will be a good day'

And don't forget to feed the seagulls!

I wrote something similar on the same thread about something I said in anger to a call centre muppet who wouldn’t (or probably more honestly couldn’t without escalating) budge. Just words on a page. Was instantly remorseful and knew it was wrong. You live and learn

I noticed you initially referred to said person as a ‘customer services monkey’ and now a ‘call centre muppet’.

Might be worth remembering that the north east is home to a large amount of call centres and therefore some people will likely find your use of those terms patronising and / or arrogant.

Noted. Any further comment ?

I deal with service desks all the time at work. Frustrates the hell out of me. I know the score. Can’t be arsed to argue. Thanks.

Yeah I’m not trying to start an argument. No further comment needed, it’s hardly crime of the century obviously, just thought I’d point it out.

Genuinely hope you’re well mate 👍

Was he a muppet for working in a call centre or was he acting like a muppet?

Was more a comment about the robots you speak to when you call a call centre and can’t get anyone who can’t deviate from the norm. See “can’t be arsed” comment above. Hth

If I remember correctly someone on here ( the old board actually) said he was asked to do work for outsourcing so he did a load of work for it and presented it to senior management and their reply to it was.....” oh no, we don’t want them to think”!

If everyone made a thread about regretting things they have posted, we would need a fmttm sub forum .
dont dwell on mistakes, move on , you can only learn from it 👍

Wouldn’t beat yourself up about it, pretty sure everyone has done and said stuff they regret over the years!

I don’t think too many on here take things personally. I mean, why would you ?
