Sorry, but another Parmo thread

Spending a couple of nights at Rockliffe next week and wondered as I'm exiled in the Midlands is there anywhere nearby where I could introduce my 11 year old son to our native dish, preferably somewhere where I could get a nice local ale as well and achievable in a taxi, so I can enjoy the local ale.

Parmo night at our place Tuesday night. By 2 parmos get the cheapest free. Between 18:30 and 20:15.

There's a couple of places in Darlo (short taxi ride from Hurworth) that do a Parmo, Salvos and Al Forno. No idea if they're any good though.

Salvos in darlo is alright for a parmo they are pretty good. The food in Alfornos is decent enough as well but never had one in their. It’s not something I really eat very often.

Cheers Randy, but I'm there Wednesday and Thursday, could you extend the offer by 24 hours, call it a fly me special😁
Steak night on Wednesday night. 2 8oz rumps, chips, salad and a bottle of house red/white/rose £28.

Heard good things about Salvos which is obviously a bit closer.

Although if its ale you want as well perhaps not Salvos or Al Forno.

The Hole in the Wall and The Pennyweight (Darlo market place) both have a good beer selection and I think both do a Parmo, although it may be worth a quick call before heading over. A lot of places have reduced menus currently and fewer beer choices :cautious:

Edit:
Final suggestion The Bridge Inn Stappleton. More restaurant than pub but with a selection of ales . Its a bit closer than the centre of Darlo ..... and they do a parmo

I’d go to The Derry at Long Newton, 15 minutes in the car. Fantastic place and I really rate the Parmos.

The Otter & Fish in Hurworth was pretty good last time I went. And they have a Parmo on the menu
