Songs that unsettle you

I won't share this on here due to its highly offensive nature, but if anyone wants to hear everything that was wrong about the early 70s, check out Peter Wyngarde's album track, 'Rape'. Horrific stuff.

Used to love this song at the time, but when it struck me much later what the content was actually about, It really unsettled me for obvious reasons.

Another Brick in the Wall by Pink Floyd.

... and the theme tune to Chorlton and the wheelies. I have no idea why this is the case.

The current Craig David one gets me wound up. You’ve got the whole world in your hands. Fk me. Be origanal. How he is getting so much air time confounds me. And when its on at work I can never stop what I am doing to smash the radio.

A seasonal one that has been pointed out many times - Tom jones and Cerys Matthews singin it’s cold outside

I can think of lots but off the top of my head...

Radiohead - Glassy Eyes from A Moon Shaped Pool and ‘Climbing Up the Walls’ from OK Computer

The Cure - Lullaby

Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath

Seasons in the sun - Terry Jacks, came out not long after the time that my sisters fiancé was killed in a car crash; I was only 9 and it certainly disturbed me.

Also, tell me there’s a heaven, Chris Rea

Every rap and hip hop song ever sung ! Then again its not really singing is it. A genre of music thats gone on for over 45 years which is 45 years too long and shows no sign of ever ending! Please make it stop ! 😠
