I totally get that South Korea have kept this pandemic under control but can Son be allowed to enter the country without having to self isolate for 14 days?
Are we just making the rules as we go along?
‘Tottenham forward Son Heung-min has travelled back to London after completing compulsory national service in South Korea.

Son spent three weeks with the South Korean Military Corps, where he finished among the top five performers.
The 27-year-old is not required to self-isolate unless he tests positive for coronavirus and will be free to join training when it resumes.
Son could take part in solo training sessions as early as Monday.

To be fair, its obvious he will be tested and solo training is almost isolation.None of us have been tested.

I think you are missing point, the government stated anyone entering the country needs to isolate for 14 days. Why is he any different?

Well it's answered a question I've been asking for weeks and not had answered yet which is who is actually flying at the mioment? The answer is clearly millionaire South Korean footballers returning from national service.

I can actually kind of see why they are doing it now. When they begin easing the lockdowns in China they saw a huge spike in imported cases. With our significantly higher death rate and significantly less well financed Health service, this is something we can ill afford

Why say "millionaire"? point one: is he? point 2? So. what difference does that make? As is already stated he's done nothing illegal. In fact he's flown from a part of the world where the virus is very much under control to somewhere where it's at it's height, and killing more than pretty much anywhere else.

It was intended as a quip. Up until this, I have genuinely wondered what type of person is flying and why because I couldn't think of any. And this is the first example of someone flying for a genuine reason that I've seen.

There have been quite a few flights to pick up essential supplies. Loads of airlines are doing that.

Rumours are the MGT plant on Teesport have fast tracked 14 Spanish electricians in, so they don’t have to quarantine. Be interesting to know where they are staying as most hotels and guest houses are closed for business

People are free to wonder into the UK as they like as far as I know. Planes can also arrive with all the seats full. Government so far hasn't put in any restrictions.

Ref Spurs - Harry Kane said the team have regular virus tests (privately completed I assume).

Whoever they are, there appears to be two planeloads of them going from Frankfurt to Toronto at once... 1589638176722.png
