The elevation of Mbappe into a kind of mythical beast reminds me of our fear of Jonah Lomu before the 95 Rugby WC Semi.
Problem is, Lomu lived up to it and destroyed us.
We'd already lost though. Had Robson not been lucky with Wilkins suspension and Robson's injury we may not have played game 4.No same order I think? Game 2 0-0 v Morocco Game 3 3-0 v Poland Game 4 3-0 v Paraguay.....game 5 lost.
Lets be honest though, the sequence starts very different 6-2 or 0-1 defeatNo same order I think? Game 2 0-0 v Morocco Game 3 3-0 v Poland Game 4 3-0 v Paraguay.....game 5 lost.

very. very trueAlso Mbappe is good but he's no Maradona...
I'm too young to remember 86 well but surely before the 86 QF Maradona wasn't yet 'Maradona' if you know what I mean? I mean he was regarded as a fantastic player but he hadn't done most of what led him to be seen as arguably the greatest ever.Aye, that didn't quite fit with my sequence of amazing coincidences. So i conveniently left it out!
