50 million to spend in January - which wont buy them a new team.
A team as good as its former owner.
Bottom but one of the Premiership.
A gaffa waiting for his marching orders.
Thousands of deluded skunks.
So - will they avoid the drop and will all the North East "Big Three" be playing each other in the Championship next season?

On form, the barcodes are heading for the Championship in a Charabanc.

Looking at the actual table is even more depressing for them:

It would be better for "North East Football" if we all played in the same league next season.
A higher profile - because the media will be so far stuck up some tyrants arz, every time they play they will be there.
It means sell - outs for the local "derby" games - with the Chronicle and Look Geordie claiming that the "real" derby is between the mackems and the skunks

The deck-chairs wont be doing much laughing at the moment.

Nah, it would be better if we get promoted and the mackems beat them home and away in the champo next season!

This is written in the stars tbf. They'll stay up, fanny around for a couple of seasons with sexy signings, nearly winning stuff. But then they will and we'll all be disappointed

It'll still be 75 years since their last cup :p:ROFLMAO:

Well you never know, they might win the League Cup. And Look North will proclaim it as the greatest sporting achievment for the North East in modern times.

I dont really get the obsession some of our fans have with Newcastle, its like Darlington fans claiming theyre in some kind of intense rivalry with us. Itd be funny to see them go down but I think most of the country feel that way so its not a regional thing for me

Seems you're not old enough to remember the mid-80s and running battles in the streets of Darlo.

I am actually but as you say that was nearly 40 years ago and its hardly been maintained has it - and besides, thats not rivalry, its hooliganism, has no place in football and is only to be condemned.

Hes not condoning violence.
Hes using those behaviours as a marker.
As you highlight - 40 years ago (y)
Will you be in attendance today at The Riverside?

Each to their own.
Its not an "obsession" - they and Blunderland are the nearest "big" neighbours - with lots of pretense. [Delusions of grandeur]
Good banter is what makes football rivalry interesting and important for the many.
Thank goodness the media doesnt tell us who we can and cannot decide who our rivals are and why.
Life would be very sterile without friendly competition.(y)

Here we go just for a bit of fun:
Boxing Day 1991.
Newcastle 0 Boro 1.
26,563 in attendance [Talkcrap keeps saying they always "sell out"? Perhaps they mean something else?]
I was at that one r00fie and remember it seeming like an age between Wilko receiving the ball and it hitting the back of the net.

Why bring up the hooliganism? Its not an essential or even welcome ingredient to a rivalry. Its irrelevant and unnecessary to reference it in any form even as a “marker” whatever that means, the supposed rivalry was contained to a few games same as our imagined rivalry with newcastle has been for what - 15 years?

Goes back over 100 years.
Did you go to the match last night?(y)

It mat well do. How many times hve we played them over the last 25 years?

why do you keep asking if i went to the match, what business is it of yours? Ive no interest if you went or not - youre not asking in a friendly tone. Do you go to every game?

Im wary of repeated questions, presented as a challenge, that have no qualification to explain why you are so insistent. Good for you, I dont have that luxury time wise and IM often not in the UK nevermind Teesside. Thank you, thats all I want to be really but I dont have any intention of suffering fools or board prima donnas and will exercise the ignore button rather than be drawn into petty disputes with people who dont have the spine to be so confrontational irl. Thats not directed at you or anyone else in particular BTW - general obsevaton
I do.
Why are you so defensive?
You can be quite cordial on here. (y)
Goodnight.
