So it wasnt the lurgy...

I felt crap on Sunday, thought it was just the lurgy. Heart had been going fast, but settled down. Monday I rang work and they said to get a PCR test. I was all set to go but then my heart rate rocketed and I felt awful with chest pains and breathlessness. Rang ambulance and am now in hospital in Norwich contemplating the distinct possibility of heart bypass surgery. I've got Bob Mortimer's book on Kindle now and am reading all about his bypass in amongst his hilarious and touching life story. Kind of scary but I guess needs must.

Guys, take it from me: don't take your health for granted. Don't ignore warnings.

Holy S**t - just take it easy LJ - they do that stuff all the time so it's just a bit of moving stuff around and sewing it all in. An open & shut case (in a manner of speaking)

Be well.

Wowsers, best of wishes to you! They'll get you right as rain in no time, I’m sure! It’s incredible what they can do nowadays. My pal had a similar experience to that which you describe and had bypass surgery. He was only 40 at the time but now, 6 years on, he’s running around chasing after his toddler and living life completely normally and full on.
Rest up and get better now.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery

I get lots of occasions when my heart starts beating really fast but its due to panic attacks as i suffer with anxiety. I thought at first it could of been a heart attack but thankfully it wasn't after i went to see my doc and had tests.
