So how do we decide who to let in, in October then

Longest ST holders priority, many will be older and likely not wanting to attend. I dont think we will actually have many ST holders miss out who want to go tbh

Yeah, if we have 10,000 ish (and some won't renew because of this alone) then we've only got to deter another 1,000 or so per match. Those of us don't live closeby won't want to be attending every match anyway, I'll be lucky to get to one match per month and especially if there are more midweek games.

Fortunately our ticket office is a well oiled machine. They'll have it sorted no bother whatever method is decided on with the minimum of fuss and confusion I'm sure.

I do worry about other clubs though.
............. he said his voice heavy with irony.

Brilliant :D

Fairest way would be to have a ballot, if you’re balloted out you are then exempt from future ballots therefore the worst case scenario for everyone is to miss one game you could also nominate a match to be balloted out of at the start of the season if they have other commitments.

Seems better to me that as many fans as possible get the opportunity to attend matches, rather some get all of them whilst others get none, the longevity argument is biased against younger fans.

Won’t need to ballot ST holders AM , the renewals should cover things and any space after that goes to new ST

Government confirm World Snooker Championship at the Crucible (July 31-August 16) will be among pilot events for the return of crowds to that sport. Plans are for a "reduced capacity audience". Everyone present would've to follow strict regulations on social distancing & sanitisation It follows that if this is successful they will then mo e on to regular outside sporting events such as football. Its in the press but no detail is official. The. Crucible with be at 30# capacity.

I thought last year we had around 14k season ticket holders? So we would be relying on a high drop off of non renewals to get all ST holders in the ground next season. Unless I'm missing something?

Also, as I've just posted on a similar thread is this not where the loyalty points scheme would come into play as it was talked about being used 'for high demand games'?
