I don't agree with the government trying to get neighbours to tell on each other but 'snitches get stiches.' I can't believe someone would write that.

Whilst the words when used in coversation may be deemed as threat, to think that somebody on the other side of the internet was using it as a threat is ridiculous.

Why? the police don’t even have the manpower to attend all emergency calls. Even if they did attend what are they going to do? peer through the window and see how many people you’ve got sitting in your living room whilst you wave back at them. If you go out in a group and you haven’t got a record or any form of ID who are they going to fine? Do we suddenly have prisons with millions of empty cells? Are they really going to lock loads of people up together during a pandemic? It’s the most ridiculous and unenforceable idea ever, it wouldn’t even be needed if the government still had the trust of the public or we had a adequate testing program 7 months after the start of all this...They are literally imposing restrictions on personal freedoms whilst ending the furlough scheme and telling people they have to go back to work even when they can’t see their own parents etc. They are either mad or very very stupid. There is civil unrest coming.

fair point but - deaths v 5 year average is the measure.
We’ve no idea what’s going t happen but hospital admissions rising isn’t itself an issue.
Spain report hospital admissions June - Aug lower than last year.
Again, kind of irrelevant.

So consider the fact the government won’t be there to help you jump start your car or lend you tools if you needed it. They won’t be an extra set of eyes to watch your property if you are away. They won’t keep an eye on your kids if they are playing in the street and someone strange is hanging around we need each other it’s how we get by and live in peace because at the end of the day they won’t be standing there on your door step to help you out when **** happens

People shouldn’t be putting themselves or their neighbours in that position. We all agree how incompetent the government are and how confusing and inconsistent the advice/rules are, but the virus is very real.
It might only be like a cold for most, but for some it’s deadly.
