Those bloody FT lefties concluding that he did break the law to Barnard Castle and his statement is carefully constructed to explain away facts. Bloody tree-huggersCummings statement analysed by FT's legal commentator: https://www.ft.com/video/e82b5a00-3ad5-4d2c-9703-ff14942aa5b1

Pretty good summary that - even if it was compiled by some smart assed lawyer, which I suspect it was, it still can’t cover up the complete non sense surrounding the Barnard Castle tripCummings statement analysed by FT's legal commentator: https://www.ft.com/video/e82b5a00-3ad5-4d2c-9703-ff14942aa5b1
To be fair Cummings probably has to sit massaging Johnson’s prostate most of the dayAnother point I've wondered about today.
What was the rush in getting the Cummings family back to London when we were all been told to work from home if you can?
If it was me personally I'd rather be doing my work in a sprawling country estate instead of travelling into downing street every day thus increasing the risk of picking up the coronavirus and possibly passing it on to my family.
Surely his role as advisor can be performed by email and zoom meetings?

And just like that it’s all gone away.
Boris Johnson has ruled out an inquiry into the conduct of his top adviser at the height of lockdown, insisting it was time to "move on" from the row.
Dominic Cummings is accused of breaking lockdown rules by travelling from London to County Durham.
The prime minister rejected claims he had damaged his own authority and the government's coronavirus message by not sacking Mr Cummings.
He said the public had had enough of the "political ding dong" over it.
Yes I agree, what’s the point of an inquiry? It might even come down on the side of Cummings in which case he would be ‘in the clear.’ I think the lingering embarrassment, the step drop in public opinion for the Tories and the tarnishing of Johnson’s image as a bit weak and overdependent on Cummings is a good return over a bank holiday weekend. On this I would say he was correct. An inquiry would be a waste of time. He had a straightforward test of his courage, conviction, and leadership and he failed it. So better to spend an inquiry time on the more complex issues of the pandemic so this doesn't happen again.
To give her her due she did at least have the morals to resign after believing they were angling for a no deal Brexit - looks spot on with that conclusionStill rumbling on. Amber Rudd - horrid woman imo but an influential tory voice nonetheless - has now said he needs to go.
