That’s a good point. Surely if Boris knew about it and he turned a blind eye or didn’t advise him against it, then he’s got some serious questions to answer, particularly if he tries to sweep this under the carpet or brush it off.
What an absolute shambles this government is. Completely amateur and rotten from the top!
 
I honestly don't know why it's just hit the headlines now, it was widely known at the time and nothing was done about it. I have a couple of friends who saw him outdoors in the north east. One of them even approached him told him he shouldn't be here and was told where to go for his trouble. He rang the police and told them.

Either way Cummings is a nasty little fascist so if this helps get rid of him, all the better.

Mind, half of Johnson's cabinet would be celebrating too. From their point of view it's a step closer to getting rid of a feckless boss and replacing him with someone even nastier.

If it was fine to do this in some circumstances, No 10 could have been in the open and said what he was doing and why. The fact they didn't, it wasn't.

I don't think anyone gives a **** about the risk to him, it is the risk to everyone else as apart from going to his parents home he appears to have been wandering around Durham quite freely.

And isn't it possible Cummings parents came down to London and picked them up? Or perhaps he arranged for a driver.

It's a year or so since I had serious influenza, but I'm fairly certain I couldn't have cared for a four year old for at least three days at that time. And I don't think government policy runs to allowing four year old children to go without food, or sick parents to have no one to help them. I appreciate Cummings is the Devils progeny, but I would have thought that even the most ardent Cummings hater would have some compassion for the seriously ill, or if not for them for their children.

Not too mention most likely having to stop somewhere at some point on his journey to and from Durham for breaks etc.

Trying to change the story to fit the known facts. Very simply, Cummings and his wife were COVID-19 symptomatic and should have self-isolated for 14 days according to the then Government Guidelines, Professor Ferguson fell on his sword when he was found to have been playing "hide the chipolata" with some floozy setting a precedent, Cummings should resign or be sacked.

Oh and Laura K should be sacked for not doing her job but moonlighting as a Tory Party spokesperson.
 
I know a few people with kids who have had it, or at least had the symptoms, and they did the right thing by self isolating. They certainly didn't go to their elderly grandparents seeking out childcare. The mind boggles how he can spin this out. Also how ill was he if he could travel to Durham? Absolutely no excuse for this. Much worse than the two experts that had to resign.
 
Sky News and BBC News trying to push the "exceptional circumstances" defence on everyone they interview.

Again, pretty sure driving 260 odd miles would mean you're fit enough to care for a child just like everyone else had/has to do in the same circumstances.

Unless they knew that they were both going to be so severly ill at the same time in advance 🤔
 
Nowt will happen - it’s the way of the establishment. The only way anything would, would be through public pressure. The first not way that would happen is if the press whipped them up - they won’t.

we are too lazy and we chomp up the lies and deceit we are fed, otherwise this omnishambles would not have been elected in the first place.

I think it’s one of those things you can’t spin despite the best efforts of Laura K and co.

This is yet another mess for Johnson in possibly the worst 2 months I have ever seen a government have.

Its starting to go off the incompetence scale.

You Tory voters out there are being very badly let down by this bunch.
 
The details of ‘excuse’ surrounding his actions are pretty irrelevant as far as any normal, sane, thinking person is concerned.
This unelected man has been hugely responsible for setting the path for our country to follow through this emergency.
This unelected man has has been sitting in on meetings of independent scientific experts, making decisions for the benefit (pfffft) of all of us.
He has played a significant part in setting the rules and timings of implementation that this country should follow through this emergency. Rules which have impacted each and everyone of us. Timings of implementation which have sadly potentially led to many unnecessary deaths.

He.Has.Broken.Those.Rules. No two ways about it. It’s perfectly clear despite the fluff and waffle that he and his media minions will try and blind the public with.
That is all that matters.
Sack/resignation has to follow now.
Anything less will be a national disgrace and further reinforce our global reputation as being an absolute shadow of a once great country.
