Sleeping

I’m staying in bed way too long , it’s annoying hearing the neighbours binging away in the garden but reality is I should be doing the same in mine .

This house should be spotless once the apocalypse is over really

I still wake at 5 ... cup of tea and maybe breakfast at 6, but I have actually enjoyed climbing back into bed and snoozing until 8.30 (when Chris Hawkins goes off air). Then that's my signal to get the **** up.

I generally wake up later than that. Have a couple of cups of tea. Do the guardian quick crossword (speedy on Sunday) plus the NYT daily sudoku. Then get out of bed eventually.

I'm WFH so sleeping pretty much the same. O only have a 15 min Drive from digs to the office normally so, apart from travel Mondays my hours are almost identical. I'm waking up more during the night too.

TT I thought people needed less sleep in the night as they aged, and napped more in the day?

my 18 yr old son said tonight that he has been having disturbed nights sleep, I’m sure we are reacting differently to each other psychologically, but the state of things is affecting us all.

I'm sleeping less and waking up at random times at least once a night.
Definitely narrowed the reason down to anxiety so have started taking steps to nip that in the bud as it were.
I’m sleeping but definitely not how I normally do, I’m not an anxious nervy sort of person but I do think the wall to wall Coronavirus coverage in the media must be having an effect on me.

I can't seem to settle at night right now - takes me an age to fall to sleep then it's fitful till morning.
I used to sleep a good 8-9 hours and longer at weekend after a few beers - bring that back.

It's definitely having an effect on me. I've vowed not to watch the news at all for the rest of the week to see if that is the cause.

Im up at the crack of 11.30 every morning.
Apart from the one day I work It has taken just a couple of weeks lock down to undo. the last 35 yrs of a working life and re.turn me back to my 1980 's doley lifestyle.Even my first few yrs of retirement didn't do that to me.
Im quite enjoying it
