All in the hat for the new PL rights (2025-2029, 270 games), of which they expect to generate a paltry £4.2bn+.

Could this finally be the beginning of the end for Sky?

It certainly won't benefit viewers either if you need 5 subscriptions to watch matches.
No, it won't. Though surely all of them will have to continue making it easy to turn subscriptions on and off, day passes, free trials etc.

Gone are the days of needing a dish on a minimum 12 month subscription, at least.

Sky's entire business model would need to change if they are bumped into 2nd or 3rd place. They will have been planning for it for years though, of course. With things like Sky Glass.

If it means we lose the likes of Jamie Redknapp and Karen Carney, then I'm all for it.
Well it won't will it? As far as I can see (and I only ever see live football by accident if it's on in a pub I'm in) these people flit between different stations anyway. Oh, and I don't see what's wrong with Karen Carney.

Personally I don't think she's very good at being a pundit, just like I don't think Redknapp is.....nor Rio at TNT, Steve McManaman at TNT/Prime. Danny Murphy/Jenas on MotD...

This is the sort of crap that drives people to the IPTV.
It wasn't too bad when you just paid for Sky and that was it. You got everything with Skysports and Free to Air.

Domestic football on sky and Champions League on ITV. With MOTD on BBC.
