Simon Jordan's attitute to IPTV

Said nearly everyone has it now or knows someone who has a subscription and its not just because of the 3pm sat blackout. Sky subscriptions are on their backside as a result as people can access all sport on a firestick for £50 a year

He stopped short at saying it cant be stopped but said the Genie is well n truly out the bottle

It's to be hoped that Sky subs are on their backside and that the leaches go out of business.
Appreciate that. Hate them too but if the likes of them go out of business whose stream do you think you'll be watching on your firestick? The cost that goes into filming all these games is astronomical. If there's no footage then there's no dodgy stream

Is Dave from The Old Oak gonna head down the ground with his camcorder?

I'll be happy to pay MFC for their stream for the matches I don't attend.

It's the same as the piracy argument. Most piracy was not just because it was free but because the service was way better. Netflix and Spotify caused massive dips in piracy because people are willing to pay reasonable amounts for a good service. That service is fracturing again and you need an expensive subscription to loads of apps so piracy is increasing again.

People are willing to pay for football on sky, as the IPTV update shows, they just don't want to pay the prices sky charge. Other countries get what we get in the UK for reasonable prices. It is only us paying the massive costs.
