Signs your starved of social interaction

Just made a friend at the EE call centre after being on the phone for Over 25 minutes . I basically devilishly called their bluff online this morning and purported I was leaving . Within an hour I got a real call from them and after the conversation got a much better deal .

However my point though is that after covering all the requisite detail about my new contract the fella and myself learned loads about each other . I was generally happy to be talking to somebody ‘ live ‘ in these brutal days as I’ve rigorously followed the rules .

He especially endeared me as he is a Swansea fan and told me ( from his home ) how he and his mates were so envious of our team in 97 . He mentioned each of that great team especially TLF .

Always in the past I just discussed minimum detail and was I guess a little blunt . Now im a little startled at the new age we’re in 🤭

My job is mainly talking to people, cajoling them through a series of deadlines and trying to keep 'energy' and momentum up while doing some pretty basic media relations work, but honestly the longer this has gone on the slower I feel when speaking to people on zoom or teams, and concentration levels dip in and out really noticeably. So hard to get things moving on zoom calls/teams calls once you've got people's attention and worked through all the technical problems.

Most working days now feel like I'm just doing homework and ticking boxes to keep the lights on.

I work in a call centre for EE. To distract people from getting the best deals I talk to them like a mate and try to engage them in chit chat about their favourite football team etc to distract them. Its amazing how much money I can save for EE and how my bonus goes up when doing this.
