Shy postmen delivering parcels

Many people find it too much effort to actually answer tge door these days, it's in the posties interest to off load the package so I doubt he's not knocking

He's knocking, very lightly. I had the radio turned off and was in the kitchen so I heard him, just. I walked through to the front door, opened it and he was already writing the card out. He said he used the bell, he didn't.

This was the special delivery that he was coming back to deliver from yesterday. The missus was in, even closer to the door, and didn't hear it.

Worst delivery company going.. I will always try to buy off a company that doesn’t use them.

I’ve had three parcels go missing so far this year, also had stuff delivered to me for a completely different address, you’d think that being able to read would be the bare minimum requirement for a postie

No complaints from me
Ordered a part for my old car on Tuesday at 4pm, was delivered 22hrs later from Norwich. Didn't even have time to check the tracking number 🤣

Ive noticed some will knock on yoyr door once maybe twice and if your upstairs by the time you have gone down and opened the door they have put a Leaflet through your door.

These guys will be measured on productivity, no time to hang around, will probably gets some points for a ‘card left’….👍

Don't know about RM but most couriers like evri, Amazon, yodel and some DPD people are job priced so don't get paid for repeat visits it's basically a set fee per delivery made

They've usually got tons to do so if they think that you're not in they'll just bang in to the next one and deal with problem ones later if they have time

I have a dog who goes nuts when someone knocks at the door so if anything I want even more introvert postmen. Maybe leave it on the doorstep and give me a text :)

My dog starts going ape-**** when the postie is three houses away, he/she would need ninja skills to be able to get a card through our door without me knowing.

Royal Mail not in my good books either. Ordered a parcel recorded delivery, they didn’t deliver and left a card. Three times I rearranged delivery, never came. I went looking for it at post office and it was sat there, when it should have been out for delivery.
If I have to wait till I can get to a shop for online orders I may as well just go to the shop. 🤷🏻‍♂️. Therefore no business for them.

Exactly what's required. No problem with other delivery blokes, just the postie.
I had a delivery due 6-9pm from Amazon. Had been to Aldi in Norton and popped to local chippy on way home at 5. While waiting for it I checked my emails and had one from Amazon saying they'd delivered it. I ran home, and they'd left it propped against my front door!!!! May as well have saved themselves the walk up the drive and just left it on the bloody pavement

Had a very large DHL delivery the other week that I was told was scheduled to arrive between 6 and 7pm on the morning of the delivery, it turned up at 11am whilst I was at work, thankfully my neighbour was able to accept it.

Same happened to us last year… but someone walked off with it before we got home.

Lucky for us Amazon sent another without issue the next day
