I don't know if it was the last one at the Riverside but I remember going to Chris Morris' testimonial against Forest in (***check's Google***) 1998.Who was the last Boro player to have a testimonial? At the Riverside, I remember Bernie having one that he’s still bitter about and there was a game for Maddren against Inter Milan, though not his testimonial. Any others? Did Mustoe or Fleming have one?
Definitely would deserve one in the old days, but not really a thing now.
Where is he in our all-time appearances, must be top 20 or 30 now? Incredible service and certainly should be recognised.
Mustoe had one in 2000. Was a pre season game vs Dortumund.I don't know if it was the last one at the Riverside but I remember going to Chris Morris' testimonial against Forest in (***check's Google***) 1998.
His kids are set for life. Why would he need a testimonial?I know he has a lot of respect on here and wonder whether he should get a testimonial match.
Now open for debate
My opinion, no. BUT I believe he should be brought back for a home game and allowed to receive the send off we'd have given him if we knew he was leaving.
ThisNah.
That would be my thought. All recent testimonials at Boro have been arranged to pay respects for the players but to raise money for charity and good causes that the players champion.
If Jonny Howson or Dael Fry have a charity that is really close to their hearts then it could be a good way to raise several thousand pounds for a cause.

Yeah I thought it was 10 years too!I always had it in my head that Testimonials where for players who played for 10 years or more or did i make that up? Obviously if that was the case it would be redundant in the modern game
