Who was the Sheff Utd player who was boasting that if/when they go 13 points clear the promotion race was over? I bet he wishes he kept his mouth shut.

I missed that but I love it when opposition players do things like that. If I was his manager I'd be going mental.

Like when Brentford's keeper said we only scored from set pieces ahead of the play offs. It can only come back to bite you.
 
I am 95% certain if we keep our form up we will get 2nd. Sheff utd remind me of the season we were in the top 2 for so long under Karanka but the negative style of play and goals scored dried up that's what's happening to them and we were just overtaken. They are not scoring many or even creating many chances from open play every game for them is a battle and a scrap physically and emotionally when they see us coasting and scoring for fun it must be hugely demoralising. Add the fa cup in there and its big ask in fact the fa cup is the perfect excuse made for them to use. Heckingbottom is like a heads gone keagan while Carrick is a silent assassin.
 
All we can do is tale it one game at a time, we have a tough week this week in Stoke and Preston two very awkward teams to play on there day, who will come with a defensive mindset amd make it really hard for us!

Also we still have Norwich & Burnley to play at home which will be excellent games and Luton away which cold be a huge game as they will be fancing there chances to push for top 2 aswell after that win today, the squad will be massively important to us in the coming weeks and everyone will have a major role to play in us pushing for second place !

What a day again, the management team and squad are doing all they can to entertain and get the fans behind them, lets get the Riverside full for the remaining home games and really drive the team on, second is there for the taking but we have to go and take it ! UTB

I was thinking this, they will already be a game behind us after the Blackburn game, another one would be great - as long as we seize the initiative of course.

They could be playing catch-up with their game(s) in hand and that's a very different situation to what theyve been in all season, so far.
 
I think most of the media and neutrals would prefer to us to succeed. Carricks brand of football is so much more attractive, sheff utd are really dirty spoilers and heckingbottom comes across as a Cóck
