I'm trying to make sure my kids understand the full implications of supporting Boro, and that there's a much bigger picture than following a team that "wins things".
So far, so good. My son is 9 and I'm trying to explain to him defeats are part of football, they happen, there is nothing WE can do to influence the result. It's a big long ride, full of bumps along the way. He seems to get it. Good job as following Boro with Stockport County as his second team he's going to have to quickly get used to it......
He has a "mate" who is Man City's biggest fan . Actually cries and tantrums when they get beat, as plastic as Barbie's t*ts. No family ties to the club, just supports them because of their success. Can't take them seriously tbh.
Disappointing yesterday, definitely. End of the world, definitely not. We've all had years of suffering and letdowns, to me yesterday didn't even register past a "hmmmmm....bollox that".
