Seriously, is there anything better on tv at the mo than Mortimer and Whitehouse gone fishing

Agree Bob is an absolute legend, a national treasure. Their friendship is clear for all to see. If there was one famous Boro fan I could meet and have a couple of drinks with it would be Bob, not to chat showbiz, just to chat Boro. I have never met him but whenever I see him on tv, it is like I know him personally.

I feel sure he was maybe behind the Dennis and Polly characters on the old board, those postings I miss.
 
Fished all my early life. A wonderfully pastime which these two wonderful characters bring out to the full, It's not about catching a net full, it's about being in touch with nature and enjoying the best of the British country side. Thank you Yarm Angling club for so many happy days.

I binged it in 4 nights. Couldnt believe i didnt know about it. So good, and we revisit to my youth
 
My missus started watching New 'fecking' Girl on Netflix. I protested for 5-6 episodes....

Im Hooked. I find myself walking round singing 'who's that girl? It's Jess'🙄

I'm going cold turkey and not watched it today. I'm nearly 1 day clean... One day at a time👍

The hubby started watching it before me as he was told about it by a mate, neither of us had heard about it until then. Team Jonny all the way, that last episode was brilliant tv...can't wait for the next series

Love him when he is a guest on would I lie to you. Cracks me up every time and every crazy story he tells seems to be true. Brilliant
 
Nope - it is sublime.

In contrast, I really enjoyed the first few Strike shows, good quality TV, but in the latest story they had to go all in with the relationship stuff and a 'will they, won't they' bloat which for me takes the edge off. Been done countless times and it's just padding, for me it doesn't enhance the show at all.
 
Love my fishing and love this show. One of the few shows that manages to be both hilarious but also charming (other being the Detectorists). Even got my girlfriend to watch a episode this week and she thinks my fishing obsession is a bit silly. Really hope it gets a 4th series.
