Season Tickets now back on sale to non Gold Cards

Still nothing on the MFC site about selling Season Cards again for non Gold Cards, the last comment was, ‘more info will be available in due course to those fans wishing to renew for 2020/21 season’......what happens if they finally wake up and find they have sold say 12k season cards but can only let 9k in???
 
Let's hope it's not something sly like it being programmed to stop sales at 9k. Then they officially announce its full and loads missed out as they were unaware it reopened.
 
I'd be disappointed if they have just opened it up without announcement and then will simply shut off when they reach the capacity; that would be very poor IMHO.
 
yeh some clarity on this is needed. I just hope mine does not get rescinded if this turns out to be a mistake
 
Ive been on hold 70 minutes so something is going on .. and im still number 7 in the queue (started at 28)
 
Just seen this on the main site, no mention of it being opened uP:

The exclusive period for Gold Card Holders to renew their Season Cards for 2020/21 has now ended.
We have now sold 7,900 and would like to re-iterate our thanks to everyone who has bought for the new season.
Season Card sales will now be suspended for a period while we continue to work through the configuration of the stadium in accordance with the guideline documentation.
We will keep fans informed via mfc.co.uk. Thank you for your patience.

After 2 hours on hold to renew my nephews card which was attached to my gold card i can confirm it was 'a glitch' in the system non gold card holders being able to renew ....

Good luck sorting that one out MFC
 
Thanks for letting us know. Let's just hope they don't cancel ours now although if the total is still below the max capacity you would think they would just let it go
 
The thing is the Gold Cards had til Saturday to renew, as we took the proactive approach to start renewing after that deadline, rather than awaiting some sort of official announcement, then there should be no real recourse.
 
But it was a glitch so they could cancel them especially if the number is now too high. I noticed from my confirmation email they assumed I was a gold card holder: "The new season is our 25th anniversary at the Riverside and you have been with us every step of the way. " I have been with them for 20 years sop not quite every step :). Still it sounds like 9K is the maximum and with 7900 sold there is some space
 
I think it will be more hassle for them to cancel and refund so I think anyone buying over the weekend should be okay.

Long waits on the phone, the vagaries of the ticketing website, poor communications ........... but when it comes to taking yer money MFC are always super efficient.

I cannot believe that this was a glitch. Did they not realise when they had over 20 in the telephone queue and people online renewing. If it was a glitch it would have been stopped almost immediately when people started calling. Did anyone actually renew over the phone or was it just online.
