Did you go to Wembley?
I ask because the turnstiles are all being upgraded to a system similar to Wembley,

We also saw the same system at a couple of away games last season where there is a big (roughly) A4 screen that lights up when you brandish your card/phone at the scan point.

So, the process has not changed but now the turnstile will be better lit and you will see a screen turn green and not just a light go on. Am saying green but it could be yellow but the whole screen lights up so it is very clear. But the point is it will be much easier to see what you are doing in the new season.

There will be information put out about this. Not just online either.. Oh and they were successfully tested on one of the Riverside stands through last season.

The August friendly game and Wrexham match should be a good opportunity for many people to get to know the upgraded turnstiles.

I should say it won't be QR code like Wembley. But the same digital ticket as last season - either your (digital) card or digital ticket on your phone. Or printed out ticket for match by match sales.

(I was just thinking about all the problems reported on here with the turnstiles throughout last season with people having to go to the ticket office and missing part of the match.)

Did we not just upgrade them like couple seasons ago?
 
Have I got this correct?

So my season ticket card thing that I have had for probably about 10 years or whenever will not work no more on gate?

I either have to buy a new one? Or download it on to my phone?

Then as I work away and just passed card about I now need to do this via the digital account?

To do this they need to be in my friends and family thingy? Can I pass two tickets to one person or do they both need digital accounts?

It's ok, I bought a half season ticket last year and the card I purchased then won't work this season, I've had to buy a new one. At least you got 10 years out of yours.

Ok, so I always go to the ticket office to sort stuff due to complications with my account and my late owld fellers they still mix up, but I wanted to retain my plastic ticket, for similar reasons to you, so I can just hand it around. I had to pay ten quid extra and they said I’d have to pick a new card up two weeks before the first game. As it turns out I’ll be back in the uk and that won’t be a problem so I’m ok.
 
I believe that the club will be posting out the new cards - there is a brand new operating system at the turnstiles so your old card will probably no longer work.
