Scotland

Never had a problem with the Scots but in football terms I don't want them to do well. Just a tribal football thing I suppose. When Andy Murray said he didn't want England to win people were up in arms. I couldn't understand the reaction, why would he he's a Scot? Proved to me he actually understood what supporting a team was all about.

Murray's comment was just banter really. I've no doubt he probably doesn't want the England football team to do well but that's what a local rivalry is all about, you can't take it personally.

The way some go on you'd think he'd said he hated the English and wanted Scotland to invade and murder all firstborn children. But then people are idiots.

I am a scot so I want them to do well. I also like to see England do well. If we were playing each other then that is a different story. It would be fantastic to see England v Scotland at a major tournament win lose or draw its a spectacle to look forward to

I don't have a problem with any home nations. Having worked in the forces I've spent plenty of time with Welsh / Scots etc. I have some really good Scottish mates (it's eye opening watching Rangers and Celtic fans in the flesh). I had a mate who so wouldn't use a green straw in a restaurant.... I'm not joking😂

The only thing I find 'amusing' is how much people in general hate us English. I couldn't care less about them.

I remember being in walkabout in Cardiff during the 6 nations and the whole pub was booing the TV because the England national anthem was blazing out. Just don't understand it.

I would love to see both Northern Ireland and Scotland to join us and Wales in the finals. We also play Scotland in the group stages if they go through👍

That said without home nation fans actually attending the tournament due to covid its gonna be gash.

The tournament is in June, and we're on the cusp of beginning vaccination, I'd be shocked if fans weren't back in 7 and a bit months.

Normally I wouldn't but given they'll be going into our group I'll be backing them tonight. Easy three points for England in the group stage (y)

Got Scottish in laws and some of my best mates are Scottish so yeah I do - though I think it's also out of pity...

I'd be shocked if they got through tonight though, they lack punch up front and I think the Serbs will be too good for them. The only chance they have is to stay in the game as long as possible and try and sneak a late one on the counter or take them to penalties.

We'll that explains a lot 😉

Just watched the national news & it showed a Scotland player putting a chance wide when practically stood on the goal line, I've never seen that footage before, when & where was it, who missed the sitter & 'who against

That's the one

Who was he & how did they get on, I would like to see them qualify

Chris Iwelumo, was a championship / league 1 player iirc, striker, played for Wolves.

Unfortunately will only be remembered for that miss, poor sod.
