Scarborough

Setting off for second county championship game. This time it is Sussex.

A heads up if anybody was thinking of going who are not members of either Scarborough or Yorkshire, tickets are very pricey £33 or £25 OAP and a fiver for kids.

Ridiculous prices in my humble opinion.

Yes they do seem a bit steep when you compare them to ticket prices at other grounds. Lancashire the walk up price for a CC game is £15. Same at Lord’s for Middlesex.

The water park is obscenely priced for what it is and isn’t really the best for smaller kids since they can’t go on the bigger slides.

There’s a couple of good play farm type places for the kids on the outskirts and if the kids are of biking age then going up the cinder path is a good way to spend some time. Dalby forest isn’t that far either.

Not sure how the aquarium is these days but it wasn’t bad with the kids and a nice walk along the Cleveland way.

Some good golf courses too for those inclined.

Just spent a great few days up in Scarborough firstly at the cricket on Friday and then last night a banging couple of sets from Orbital and Faithless in the OA Theatre. Mint.

Had dinner in Mother Hubbards. Every bit as good as it always was.
