Yesterday I received a text > " DHL : Your parcel is still awaiting processing. Please confirm delivery charges." with a link https//cutt.ly/c0 etc

The thing with this is:
A) The text was sent from Wickes ( I have had text from them saying stuff is ready for collection )
B) I do not have anything ordered with Wickes currently - since May 4th.
C) Wickes previously used bit.ly for their links

I suspect a scam, if so,how did the scammer get it sent from Wickes? or maybe Imma bit paranoidy.

anyhoo - deleted,so my "parcel" is gonna sit there for a long time.
Jus saying

Had the same text. Previously ordered something through Wickes about 2 years ago.
Definite scam, maybe Wickes have been hacked.

I received a text message saying you have spent £798.55 in JD sports if this wasn’t you please click on the link to stop the transaction, just deleted message and hope one of the kids have not treated themself to a new Armani tracksuit

Some very obvious cues that it’s a scam:

Shortened URL

Unrecognisable URL

Typos and grammar issues e.g. spaces before the colon is an obvious one

I had a beautiful lady screaming at me over the phone on Christmas Eve stating I wasn't listening to her and that I would get charged extra for the delivery of my new Iphone.

If only I had ordered one.

My dad had a call asking him if he'd been involved in an accident and he told the operator he had. The operator asked him if he could explain what had happened and he said he'd sh1t himself. For some reason, the operator put the phone down.
