This day 27th October 1973 we travelled to the Den to face Millwall, a ground we'd never tasted victory on
This day we changed that stat when Malcolm Smith scored his 2nd league goal of the season, the only goal of tge game & with it, our 1st ever league victory at Millwall, bringing both points back to Teesside & cement our lead at the top of the divison
Boro's 4th win on their travels & one defeat in 14 games, only conceding 3 away from home & 2 of those were in one game
What a remarkable & unforgettable season
