We have three big events on Saturday as Local History Month really begins to crank up.
- Middlesbrough To The Max - Teesside Archives will be investigating the Max Lock plan - a wartime survey carried out in 1944 that would have seen a radical redesign of post war Middlesbrough.
Visitors can explore a range of materials, including original documents, maps and photographs at Teesside Archives (Dorman Museum) 10am - 12noon Sat 3rd May.
- At 1pm til 3pm you can use your Power and Imagination to create a poster of Middlesbrough's urban landscape and positive vision for the future. Inspired by the powerful and optimistic imagery of classic Soviet posters.
The location Floor 7 of Dundas House, Middlesbrough TS1 1HY has panoramci views.

- May Day Partisans Party 7pm to late at The Chapel, Whitehouse Street TS5 4BY (near Newport Bridge)
A very special event hosted by historian Tony Fox, guest Alfio Bernabel with historian Ian Stubbs recounting the SS Arandora tragedy, torpedoed wihilst carrying interned Teesside Italians.
