Sam Curtis

I don’t see a lot of skill there. He does look quick and strong with a good work ethic and a decent crosser but it’s hard to tell how good he is when he’s playing at that level.
 
These are the exact type of players we should be signing. 17 years old... Obviously highly rated as there's a lot of clubs after him.

Bring him in, loan him to Hartlepool for the rest of the season and see if he's good enough to make the step up from the Irish league.

We already have 2 quality championship RBs - If it doesn't work out he's zero risk.

There's a 17 year old striker at Cheltenham too called Tom King - youngest player to ever play for them in L1.

Derby also have a 16 year old GK - Jack Thompson - looked good in the U21s vs Boro a few weeks ago.
 
Certainly fits the "model".

VDB is a good indicator that we're an increasingly attractive proposition for highly rated youngsters. There'll be loads of players like this we're looking at I'm sure.

VDB is already over the hill now according to our model. Sell him in January and get Curtis in. Then sell him in the summer and replace him with a 14 year old.
 
boro has to be the best club for this lad to come to..

straight into the wilderness with the likes of Man City, Man Utd.. Sheffield United.. well our entire academy was written off by their manager.. as was our recruitment.. who seem to rate him.
