Sadiq Khan re-elected as Mayor of London

If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
Id rather have someone give an impassioned Concession Speech (JJJ) That shows they actually care about the post and the area than just bolting off the stage because they lost.

It was crass and not in keeping with the spirit of the election and shows exactly what he thought about the people in the town. He is trying to be a career politician and nothing else.

Shaun Bailey is a scumbag too. I've just seen his concession speech. The state of politics in this country is abhorrent. No grace in defeat at all. Just attack attack attack. It's actually pathetic. It makes me sad that this is what the electorate like. Conflict and division rather than policy and caring about the people.
Completely agree, the politicians and the MSM are promoting a divided and nasty public.

I posted on another thread that I used to be a supporter of Ben Houchen until he got hijacked on social media by the ‘Labour are finished’ Tory propaganda machine.

And, for balance, Labour seem to think stabbing each other in public will somehow get people to vote for them.

The Tories lost 11 out of 13 mayoral elections, their reaction ? To move the goal posts
I think the Tories will have been rattled by the Labour mayors winning, these are high profile positions with big vote numbers involved.

Andy Burnham has emerged as a future Labour leader on the back of being Manchester mayor, Ben Houchen similar in my opinion for the Tories on Teesside.

Sadiq has done a good job as MoL - he had help from the pandemic on suppressing the crime issue, but in general people like his policies. The Tories didn’t put any effort into the campaign whatsoever.
