No, not the gnarled guy currently running the barcodes, Fiona "Adolf" Bruce.

Since she has taken the chair on Q.T. it has become farce.
All Tories get a free ride and are never required to actually answer anything.
Meanwhile, anyone venturing an alternative to the prescribed narrative is not even allowed to finish a sentence.

The new "covid" format suits her even more than the live audience.
She picks faces to ask questions until she get a question she likes.
Anything remotely difficult for the smarming ministers is simply glossed over.
Oliver Dowden simply sat and lied straight faced and was allowed to get away with it.
Despite "audience" members stating what was actually happening he simply trotted out platitudes and dogma.
That arena is not Parliament, where the arcane rules apply, why is he simply told "you are lying, stop it and tell the truth"
 
She was a poor choice in the first place - Dimbleby wasn't perfect either, but at least had some needle at times. I think Andrew Neil would've been a better choice.

Just like the Commons, QT debate is a dead duck with video conferencing. No substitute for the atmosphere of a live audience I'm afraid.
 
Think I've watched it once since the 2019 GE, and definitely not since COVID, after being an avid watcher every week.

Had to stop watching after the whole argument at the time that the tories would deliver '50,000' more nurses, but what they actually meant was they would try to stop those 50,000 current nurses from leaving the NHS, and the whole debate devolved into some Year 1 maths sum around "If I have three apples and the Conservatives give me two more do I have five more apples?" ... just summed up the UK media at the time.
 
PM Questions is the same. These Tories either lie or avoid the questions and want to wax lyrical about the vaccine roll out and how we are top performers
Also top performers in the per capita death rate but they don’t want to think about that

The programme's been limping along for decades and wants putting out of its misery. It's a sad indication of the level of political 'debate' on UK TV that this is considered one of the flagship shows. No wonder there is such a low level of political intelligence in large parts of the population.

Same here, it was ruined by the same Brexit quetions and arguments week on week.
 
The Tories always just send along a stooge who doesn't actually have any answers. It's the same with Newsnight.
