Ryobi gear.

Anyone used the attachment that's meant to clean out block paving.
Spent about 8 hours continuously cleaning our drive manually with a wire brush and weed killer last summer. It's all come back with a vengeance this spring.
I thought about getting the Ryobi advertised on tv but a neighbour said he had heard that it's not very good.
Anyone had experience of it.

My son got one and it is definitely worth the money. We have a big drive and I borrow it when it is time for cleaning and weeding.

I would highly recommend it - it takes all the hard work out of it.

Agreed.
We've got block paving right across the front of the house.
It saves an awful lot of backache.
Great invention.

If it’s just green crap, moss and stuff thats grown over the winter ‘Wet and Forget’ is very good. You dilute it five to one and spray over the surface and over time it kills everything off and hey presto clean patio. you can spray it on anything, wood and plastic clears in a week or two, patios and drives five or six. I use it every year and jet wash about one in five.

Might try that. The block paved path at the north side of the house gets little direct sunlight and gets covered in moss.
👍

What about one of those long handled wire patio brushes you can buy for about £6 porky... Will be good exercise for you 👍

Theyre doing a small battery lawn mower at the minute for about £230, with a strimmer. Anyone got one?
Again, my sons got the strimmer but borrowed ours to break down his lawn. They had been out of the house due to decorators being in and the lawn had gone wild. He used my old one to break it down and make it more manageable. I didn't want to wear the motor out on his.

Otherwise, he's had no issue with it and he recommended it to his uncle to buy one. I believe it's got a fixed blade cutter instead of the nylon chord.

Can I also add, I don't have any Ryobi tools and when I borrow my son's patio cleaner I use a De-Walt battery and purchased an adaptor that fits into the Ryobi and also accepts the De-Walt battery.

It might be a cheaper option if you already have battery powered tools.

I had some stuff called green gone I think, which was good, maybe use that and glysophate to kill anything and then use a patio cleaner acid to get anything else off and jet wash it down.

Then sand all the gaps and put a proper patio sealer on there.

If you don't seal it, then you're just going to have to keep repeating. The sealing makes any maintenance 10x easier.

You could also pay a professional to clean it, probably won't cost much. I keep getting patio cleaning videos popping up on my youtube and what they do in a short amount of time is impressive.

I have a number of Ryobi One tools. In Sweden I use the chainsaw and the biggest of their brushcutters. I was sceptical before I bought them, thinking that the 18v chainsaw in particularly would be under-powered. Actuall, both are fantastic. It prompeted me to get the hammer drill/screwdriver in the UK which I also love. I have a large and a small battery in Sweden and a small one in the UK, which lasts ages.

Well I took the plunge and got one and it's a great bit of kit. Whizzed through the job in hand.
Only gripe is the length of time the battery lasts. Its a big drive and I had to stop and charge it 3 times. I paid extra for the 4a one but it only lasts an hour (is this normal for battery tools ?). Think I'm going to buy a spare battery.
All in all though very happy thanks for all your help 👍
