Ryan Shotton

Sorry to go all 'Boro_Legend' here... but I was just thinking how useful Ryan Shotton would have been this year and how well he'd have fitted into the Warnock system. He'd have been excellent cover for both as centre back and the problem right-hand side following Dijksteel's injury. In fact I think he'd probably have had an important run in the team.

Anyway, no point in looking back. He didn't want to sign the short-term contract did he? He's at Leek Town now.

Didn't he leave because he didn't want to see out the end of the season when we started back? I think so.

Don't need players like that. Leek Town can keep him.

Thought he just left as his contract was not going to renewed. And even if it was it was Warnock who told them they could go. Like Rudy and Clayton. Even though he went back to Clayton just as he was setting off on holiday as Howson was out. Not Neil's best decisions.

He did sign a short term extension and play on for us, but then picked up an injury in the Bristol City defeat and didn't want to risk aggrevating it further.

He played in 3 of the 8 games under Warnock, remained on the bench for 2 of them, he only withdrew for the final 3 games.

I think Traore must be the Jones of West Africa because there are absolutely loads of players with the surname.

There are 292 players listed on Transfermarkt with that surname.
I thought you meant Brad Jones when I first read that before it dawned on me.

He’s been injured. He was injured taking a throw in!!! Utterly devoid of any use and the fact that somebody is seriously advocating his talents back at the Club is amusing.

Gestede has also been injured most of the time and Butterfield is taking a well paid job in midfield by strolling through games. Victory are woeful this season.

I thought George Friend could have stayed and done a job for us, doubt he would have got the game time he is getting at Birmingham mind. I'd like to see him back at the club when he hangs up his boots in a coaching role. Defo one for the future imo
