Ryan Giles.....

Any chance of us signing him on a perm in Jan? He's been out on loan for nearly 2 years so no idea what he's 'worth' to Wolves.

We've had some woeful and even shocking loan signings over the last 3-4 years. He looks the real deal going forward. I don't overly care about him defensively (what modern Wing backs can defend?).

2 years on loan. The lad needs a home. We've still got the Spence and Tav money. I get most is balancing the books. Yet I'd love us to sign Giles in Jan.

He‘s still young and can imagine he’s still in Wolves thoughts. They will want his defending to improve (as we all do). It’s the only thing stopping him from being a premier league player, albeit a big thing to improve.

What puts me off is that loanees often tail off when they become permanent.

Obviously there’s a risk of losing him though.

Top assist-maker in the league now.

New manager in at Wolves may want a look at him, going forward he is quality in defence he gets caught out a bit. But im sure if we could sign him permanently we would try to do it.

Try replacing his quality of service next season. I think we’d struggle. I’d definitely make him perm if we could make it work financially

I think we saw in the Burnley game he’d get targeted in the PL by better players, but overall he’s very good at this level.

I genuinely can't think of a better crosser in my many years as a Boro fan. His delivery is top notch.

I mean I still dine out on Tommy Wright's two for Wiko against Leeds 😂

He looks like he’s really enjoying it here. Definitely seems to often be in the thick of celebrations. That cross for the 4th goal today was absolute perfection.

He is class, Downing however has to be up there.
He’s not on Downing’s level as a player but I think his crossing is consistently as good if not better. If he had genuine pace he would be up there with the best wingers in the Premier League.

Very good second half today but nothing other than bad defending from him at Burnley where he hardly crossed the half way line.

I do see his positives but I’m still not convinced myself.

You don't care how he defends. Jesus how do u expect to get promoted with that mentality. Hes our left back/wing back.

He has a superb cross and is the best assister we've had for a long time but if we want to beat teams above us we need to demand more

Downing was probably the best I've seen but he'd be run close by Ziege. Giles is up there.

Would be nice if he could defend better but he'd already be starting in the PL if he could.

Left sided wingers are like gold dust especially when they can cross the ball like Giles. He’s good at going forward but other players are making him look even better by feeding him the ball in better positions.

He's an above average championship player, which if we use him correctly could create a lot of chances for us. I think he's found his level.
