Russia threats of nuclear strike

Putin and his entourage keep threatening this, that and the other with a nuclear strike. Nobody want this to happen. If the stupid little **** does push the button does he not realise Moscow and all of the major cities in Russia will be toast
 
Frightening that a madman has so much power at his disposal

Obviously there is a protocol to go through if he wants to press the button
I wouldnt think its something he will be able to carry out under his own steam, others will need to step in then & see to it that he & his constant threats are gone forever

Agreed, someone would step in before it got to that point, and the problem would be removed.
 
He said this in 2018

Russians will "go to heaven" as martyrs in the event of nuclear war because Moscow will only ever use nuclear weapons in retaliation, President Vladimir Putin said Thursday.

"We have no concept of a preemptive strike," Putin told a forum of international experts in the southern city of Sochi in response to a question from the audience.

"In such a situation, we expect to be struck by nuclear weapons, but we will not use them" first, he said.


"The aggressor will have to understand that retaliation is inevitable, that it will be destroyed and that we, as victims of aggression, as martyrs, will go to heaven.

"They will simply die because they won't even have time to repent," he said to some laughter from the audience.
 
This phrase is now repeated constantly daily on Russian state media

There is no way of a return to normal life after a full scale nuclear war, it would simply be the end of pretty much all organic life forms as we know it - and frankly even if you survived the initial attack the following aftermath would be too horrific to contemplate

When the rhetoric starts to ramp up it is probably a sign that the Russian progress in The Donbass has stalled. Little to no movement of the front lines in about two weeks. Reports that the Russians are using "ad hoc" formations formed from the remains of badly mauled units that have been rushed back into place. They are running short of precision guided weapons. They know that western weaponry is starting to ramp up with artillery systems being delivered and the Ukraine army being trained to use them. Germans are probably being shamed into supplying the stuff they promised months ago. They lost a naval vessel a few days ago to what was probably the first use of the Harpoon guided missile system. Now the Lithuanians have told them to fkk off and won't allow transit of supplies to the Russian naval base in the Kaliningrad enclave. (Kaliningrad was formerly known as Konigsberg pre WW2 when it was part of Germany). Russians seem to have been taken by surprise by this and are making angry noises at the Baltic states.

If there is a nuclear exchange I want to be right under the first one.
 
I’m sure the 73k UK army would be shyting themselves with the prospect of having to fight the 1M Russian army. 😏
