I was there on Friday night and it was absolutely brilliant. Liam seems to have fixed his vocal issues somehow and he was singing the songs again rather than shouting them down the microphone and the whole band was tight, the whole gig sounded absolutely great! The atmosphere in the stadium was fantastic.
I think people who turn up expecting a lairy Oasis performance might go home feeling a little flat, it was all about the music and they absolutely ripped through the set list with no arsing about at all apart from a few quips and audience shout outs from Liam. They sounded like Oasis pre 1997 before Liam's voice went and that was a really good thing.
One other thing I'd like to point out is the comments about phones at gigs. I'd say most people I saw there with their cameras out (myself included btw) took a few moments of footage per song and then put them down. I'm always 50/50 about doing it but it's nice to have something to look back on as a memory and to have something to show the kids. I can definitely understand why some people take issue with it but from what I saw there was no obstructing anyone else's view by waving a camera around on Friday night.
The whole thing was epic, one of the best gigs I've ever been to and one of the best weekends of my life. They aren't gonna win over anyone that hated them all along but they will have definitely found some new fans and blown away their old ones
