Rudy Gestede Interview

Good to see he's been doing some charity work and "raising" £45k to build an orphanage.

By raising I assume he means getting donations from hardworking people giving up some of their income.

Maybe I'm being unfair and I'm loathe to criticise anyone doing charity work, but that's less than 2 weeks wages for him. If he really wanted to give something back could have just paid for it himself couldn't he? Would've been far easier and he could probably afford it far more easily than some of the people donating? Not sure it's something I'd be bragging about.

(To quote Newy, "typical Rudy move").
What do you do for charity Festa?

I’ll let you off for defending terrorists hopesboro but surely you not trying to defend rudy on the Boro message board.
You’ve got more front than the big useless prat himself

I would have liked to have seen the interviewer ask him whether he thought 5 goals in 48 games over three years was an acceptable performance for a professional specialist goalscorer.

Perhaps he could have followed that up with the fact that based on wages alone each of his goals has cost the club about £900,000 and invited him to sell himself to his next club based on that.

As I tweeted in 2018 as he limped off against Preston:

@bbcteessport
We've had Bambi's mam on the phone. If Rudy Gestede doesn't bring Bambi's legs back tonight she's calling the police.

I don’t mind when they’re young and struggle. I don’t mind when they’re older, struggle and fail. But when they’re in their prime, paid a fortune and downright cowards, I cannot abide it.

Worst striker I've seen at Boro in almost 40 years since the days of Gary McDonald & Andy Crawford, but in fairness to those guys at least they didn't bleed the club dry. Did Gestede face any phone in questions?
